If Ditty is a Swiss Army knife, then T4B News Ticker is a screwdriver for one task, but a perfect one. The plugin does exactly what it promises: horizontal news ticker with four animations (fade, slide, ticker, scroll).

Setup takes a couple of minutes: you choose a post category or enter your own text, configure colors and speed, copy the shortcode. Since version 1.4.1, scripts are loaded only when the shortcode is detected, on pages without a ticker the plugin doesn't load anything.
