🥇 6 Oxygen Builder add-ons 2026 (Free & Paid)

🥇 6 Oxygen Builder add-ons 2026 (Free & Paid)

Building a landing page in pure Oxygen without add-ons is like writing code in Notepad. It works. But why, when there are proper tools.

When we first tested add-ons for Oxygen Builder in 2022, the market looked different. OxyPowerPack was alive, Editor Enhancer was still warm, and nobody was expecting Oxygen 6. It's 2026 now: Oxygen has split into Classic (v4.9, last update December 2024) and the completely rewritten Oxygen 6. Some add-ons are gone: OxyPowerPack officially closed by the author, Editor Enhancer hasn't been touched since 2018.

We selected six add-ons that work here and now. Each tested personally, from installation to production project. All compatible with Oxygen Classic. For Oxygen 6, the ecosystem is still in its infancy: there's OxyMade with design sets and Core Framework with classes, but it's far from Classic ecosystem maturity.

💡 Quick overview:

  • First decide on the Oxygen version: Classic (v4.9) or Oxygen 6, all add-on compatibility from the list below depends on this
  • Design sets and CSS framework, OxyNinja Core (also known as Core Framework)
  • If you need interface components (carousels, mega menus, modals), OxyExtras covers 41 scenarios
  • For daily acceleration, choose one of the trio: Hydrogen Pack (shortcuts + Sandbox), Swiss Knife (maximum features per dollar) or OxyToolbox (Conditions + Emmet)
  • Install Oxy Undo in any case: Oxygen Builder has no built-in undo functionality whatsoever

A short overview of Oxygen 6.1 to understand where the builder and its add-on ecosystem are heading:

1. OxyNinja Core

OxyNinja Core design sets in Oxygen editor

OxyNinja Core solves the main pain of starting a project: building typical sections from scratch. 170+ ready blocks, hero, services, pricing, footer, WooCommerce products, take and customize for the brand. Section from the set doesn't fit, import from another project.

Under the hood, Core Framework, a proprietary CSS framework with readable class names. All sections are built on the same utility classes, so they connect without conflicts. Class Lock function protects framework classes from accidental edits, useful when several people work on a project.

Pros:

  • 170+ sections and 17 WooCommerce templates out of the box
  • Core Framework with unified class system, sections don't conflict
  • Class Lock protects classes from accidental editing
  • Import/export sections between projects

Cons:

  • Only Oxygen Classic, not adapted for Oxygen 6
  • Ready sections, not ready site, customization still needed
  • Subscription from $99/year on oxyninja.com, not for one-time use

Price: from $99/year for 1 site license. 🔗 OxyNinja Core on developer site

2. OxyExtras

OxyExtras components in Oxygen Builder interface

41 components for visual assembly. Mega menus, carousels, modal windows, Lottie animations, reading progress bars, off-canvas panels, everything that Oxygen core lacks and, judging by the roadmap, isn't expected.

Developers, David Browne, Gagan Goraya and Sridhar Katakam, well-known figures in the Oxygen community. Product updates regularly. Each component loads only on pages where it's used, no situation "installed for carousel, entire framework loads". Style settings go through the native Oxygen panel, no additional interfaces.

Key limitation straight from the developer site: "OxyExtras is an add-on for classic Oxygen, not for the new Oxygen v6, which is a completely different builder".

Pros:

  • 41 components, each loads precisely, without page bloat
  • Native Oxygen interface for all style settings
  • Export/import component presets between projects
  • Components connect with each other and standard Oxygen elements

Cons:

  • Only Oxygen Classic
  • Price $149, higher than average in collection
  • Mega menu and off-canvas require time to master

Price: $149/lifetime, without annual renewals. 🔗 OxyExtras, official site

3. OxyToolbox

OxyToolbox modules in Oxygen Builder settings

OxyToolbox is not a monolithic plugin, but a set of twenty-plus modules. Enable only what's needed. Developers, Gagan Goraya (former Soflyy developer) and Sridhar Katakam, know Oxygen internals at source code level.

Among modules: direct text editor (element hidden behind other layers? Edit with code), Emmet autocompletion in code panels, revision management, fullscreen mode with center panel detachment to a separate monitor and table of contents via shortcode.

Special mention deserves the Conditions module: dozens of new element visibility conditions, including geolocation and WooCommerce statuses. For online stores this is serious leverage, show free shipping block only to visitors from the needed region.

Pros:

  • Modular architecture: unnecessary code doesn't load
  • Emmet in code panels, radically speeds up layout
  • Conditions with geolocation and WooCommerce statuses
  • Developer, former Soflyy employee, knows Oxygen code base

Cons:

  • $199, highest price in collection
  • Some features overlap with Swiss Knife and Hydrogen Pack
  • Only Oxygen Classic

Price: $199/lifetime with all modules and 12 months support. 🔗 OxyToolbox on OxyPlugins

4. Hydrogen Pack

Hydrogen Pack shortcuts and context menu

Hydrogen Pack from Clean Plugins, an add-on for those who want to control Oxygen from the keyboard, like in an IDE. 60+ customizable shortcuts, right-click context menu and copying elements between pages and sites.

Main feature, Sandbox Mode. Work in an isolated environment, changes don't touch the live site. Client gets a protected preview link. Approved, publish with one click. This isn't a staging environment replacement, but for quick edits on production, it's salvation.

Disable Edit Locking function removes the silly Oxygen 3.3+ limitation on editing multiple pages simultaneously. A small thing, but when editing five landing pages in parallel, saves nerves.

Pros:

  • 60+ shortcuts with reassignment to your habits
  • Context menu eliminates cursor running around interface corners
  • Sandbox Mode for safe redesign of live site
  • Copy elements with import of global colors and classes

Cons:

  • Only Oxygen Classic
  • Some shortcuts overlap with Swiss Knife
  • Sandbox Mode is not a full staging environment

Price: $39.99/lifetime for 1 site, $69.99/lifetime for unlimited. 🔗 Hydrogen Pack on Clean Plugins

5. Swiss Knife

Swiss Knife interface for Oxygen Builder

Swiss Knife, the most multifunctional add-on in the collection. Shortcuts and context menu are just the tip. Real power is in three things: HTML conversion to Oxygen elements, visual debugger and script manager.

HTML conversion works simply: copy markup from any site, get native Oxygen elements. Debugger highlights layout problems with color coding of element types. Script manager gives a single update point for all JS/CSS with CDN and self-hosting support.

Emmet autocompletion here is deeper than competitors: write div.card*3>img.card_img and get three divs with images and classes in one press. Free Lite version lies on WordPress.org, basic features available without payment, but version hasn't been updated for a long time (last declared test, WP 6.3).

Pros:

  • HTML conversion to Oxygen elements, copy and edit, not re-layout
  • Visual debugger with color coding of element types
  • Script manager with CDN and self-hosting
  • Price: from $29/year on DPlugins or $39/lifetime for 1 site

Cons:

  • Only Oxygen Classic
  • Free WordPress.org version frozen
  • Functionality overlaps with Hydrogen Pack and OxyToolbox

Price: $29/year or $39/lifetime for 1 site. Pro, from $69/lifetime. 🔗 Lite version on WordPress.org🔗 Pro version on DPlugins

6. Oxy Undo

Oxy Undo action undo panel in Oxygen Builder

Oxygen Builder has no built-in undo functionality. No Ctrl+Z, no Undo button in interface. Accidentally deleted a section? Changed style on wrong element? Overwrote a class? Without Oxy Undo, live with it.

Plugin tracks changes in real time and gives full Undo/Redo for dozens of steps back. No additional settings: installed, and undo and redo buttons appear in the panel. For those who edit client sites directly on production, this is not a "nice addition", but insurance against a call from an angry customer.

Pros:

  • Closes critical Oxygen Builder gap, absence of Undo/Redo
  • Minimal overhead: plugin does exactly one thing
  • Unlimited number of rollback steps

Cons:

  • Narrow functionality, only Undo and Redo
  • Doesn't replace full backup before serious edits
  • Only Oxygen Classic

Price: from $19/lifetime. 🔗 Oxy Undo on OxyPlugins

⁉️🤔 Frequently asked questions

Where did OxyPowerPack and Editor Enhancer from old collections go?

OxyPowerPack officially closed by the author in 2024: Oxygen was rewritten from scratch (v6), compatibility became impossible. Author, Emmanuel Laborin, moved to RocketGenius (Gravity Forms) and doesn't plan to rebuild the product. Functionality distributed between OxyExtras (animations, counters, preloaders), OxyToolbox (Conditions, Emmet) and Swiss Knife (editorial improvements). Editor Enhancer hasn't been updated since 2018 and is incompatible with modern WordPress versions, its functions completely covered by Hydrogen Pack and Swiss Knife.

What about add-on compatibility and Oxygen 6?

Since 2024, Oxygen Builder exists in two streams: Classic (v4.9, final update December 2024) and completely rewritten Oxygen 6. All six add-ons in this collection work with Classic. For Oxygen 6, the ecosystem is only forming: OxyMade offers design sets, Core Framework integrated with the new builder, but overall the choice in mid-2026 is more modest. Before buying, check compatibility on the specific add-on site.

Do I need to install all six add-ons simultaneously?

No, and we don't recommend it. Three add-ons, Swiss Knife, Hydrogen Pack and OxyToolbox, partially overlap: all have shortcuts, two have Emmet autocompletion, two have context menu. Choose one from this trio for your work style. Typical production stack: one design add-on (OxyNinja), one component (OxyExtras), one workflow accelerator (any from the trio) and Oxy Undo.

Which of the trio accelerators to choose?

Swiss Knife gives maximum features per dollar: HTML conversion to Oxygen elements, visual debugger and script manager, no one else has this. Hydrogen Pack, the most polished interface and unique Sandbox Mode, which has no analogues in the Oxygen ecosystem. OxyToolbox, choice for those who need Conditions with geolocation and WooCommerce statuses. In practice, we more often use Swiss Knife as base and Hydrogen Pack for Sandbox Mode.

Is Oxygen Builder dying?

Oxygen user base is indeed shrinking: part of the community moved to Bricks Builder, part to Gutenberg. But tens of thousands of sites on Oxygen Classic remain, and the add-on ecosystem for Classic serves them completely. For new projects, Oxygen 6 offers rewritten architecture and gradually acquires its extensions. Replacing a working site on Classic makes no sense. For starting from scratch, look at Oxygen 6 or alternatives, weighing add-on availability for specific tasks.

What to install in 2026

Specific stack depends on tasks. Building landing pages in flow, OxyNinja Core + Hydrogen Pack + Oxy Undo. Making complex interfaces with non-standard components, OxyExtras is mandatory. Editing client sites on production, Oxy Undo is not negotiable, install it first.

If budget is strictly limited: Swiss Knife Lite (free) + Oxy Undo ($19), for $19 you get basic work acceleration and error insurance. Buy the rest as needs arise.

We in the editorial keep OxyNinja Core, OxyExtras and Swiss Knife on all projects. Hydrogen Pack on those with frequent redesign on production. Oxy Undo on every site with Oxygen, without exceptions.
